Beyond the Benny

Hollandaise Diner is a small, 24-seat diner on Danforth East just east of Woodbine.

Owned by brunch-eaters, Josh and Marisa, our intention is to bring quality, home cooked breakfast to the neighbourhood while making a positive impact on our local, east-end community.

We source as many food items from local business as possible, including our breads being from Celena’s Bakery, our smoked salmon from The Smoke Bloke and our teas from Pluck Teas.

As a part of our efforts to work closely with our East End community, we do our best to hire from the community. Our decor consists of rotating local east-end or Toronto-based artists and many pieces are available for purchase.

We do our best to provide a totally inclusive and accessible restaurant. Our entire restaurant is on ground level including all tables and gender neutral washrooms that have support bars.

If you have questions or suggestions to make our restaurant more accessible, please email us at

Hollandaise Diner is a Positive Space.

We welcome everyone that will contribute to a positive and safe space for all members of our community. We will not tolerate any actions that will jeopardize the safety of this space.

We respect and value Indigenous people and their land that we occupy.

All are welcome in our space including transgender and cisgender women, other trans people and   non-binary folks, black lives, members of the LGBTQQIP2SA+ community, immigrants, people of all abilities, people of all ages, people of all faiths, and refugees.
